This holiday programme offers a gentle and creative delving into photography and storytelling as a way of seeing, being — and being seen. The focus of this winter holiday is landscape, nature and self, exploring how we affect and are affected by it's interplay.
Designed in collaboration with a social worker, teen psychologist, and photography educator, the sessions teach solid technical skills while building photography skills, visual literacy and media awareness.
Teens explore creative expression, learn how images shape identity & society, and gain a grounding tool that can help them navigate their busy lives by drawing on the ability to focus, slow down, observe and interpret their worlds.
Whether using a phone or a camera, they’ll discover a new way to see, express, and connect.
Beyond the Selfie is a weekly facilitated photography workshop. Each week we explore photography through guided lessons, debates, discussions, excursions and gallery visits.
